Description

There is something quietly untamed about a vine that never stops reaching. Worked in brass and finished to a warm, antique-kissed tone, this openable bangle traces a continuous vine across its surface, the sinuous stems punctuated by stone-studded blooms set into simple yet deliberate collet-like mounts. The motif belongs to a long tradition of nature-inspired jewellery that runs through the workshops of Rajasthan and Bengal alike, where karigars have long understood that the vine, endlessly climbing, carries within it the idea of abundance and growth. The stones, nestled at intervals along the scrolling branches, catch light without demanding it. At 0.6 inches (approximately 1.5 cm) in height and 2.1 inches (approximately 5.3 cm) in width, the cuff carries enough presence to read clearly on the wrist without overwhelming the hand. The hinged, openable clasp is a considered detail, making this a bangle that invites daily use rather than ceremonial hesitation. Wear it with a hand-block-printed cotton kurta on a relaxed afternoon and the brass reads as something unearthed and cherished. For an evening mehendi or an intimate festive gathering, pair it alongside silver or oxidised stacking pieces to let its warmth anchor the arrangement. At 20 grammes, the bangle sits with quiet substance on the wrist. The openable closure accommodates most wrist sizes comfortably, removing the anxiety of the traditional slip-on. The brass, over time, only deepens in character.
