Description

There are bangles made to be worn, and then there are bangles made to be remembered. Rooted in the Kundan tradition that flourished in the ateliers of Jaipur, this pair of openable bangles carries the particular patience of a craft where every stone is set by hand. The technique asks the artisan to press and fold fine metal foil, gold-toned here over a brass base, around each gem cavity until the stone sits flush, held not by prongs but by the slow, considered pressure of experience. Coloured stones in clear, vivid hues are arranged across the surface in a formal repeat, their facets catching light with the cool steadiness that distinguishes true Kundan work from simpler inlay. The brass construction keeps the weight wearable without sacrificing the visual substance that makes this pair a statement piece. Worn as a pair, these bangles move well from a silk chanderi kurta at a mehendi gathering to the sleeve of a structured embroidered blouse at a reception dinner. The openable hinge means they sit without the usual ceremony of threading a bangle over the wrist. Available in sizes 2.2, 2.4 and 2.6, the hinged closure ensures a secure fit across a range of wrist circumferences without compromising the clean silhouette. The brass base will not bend easily under daily wear. Storing the pair flat in a soft pouch will protect the Kundan settings and keep the metal's warm tone intact over time.
