Description

There are bangles that open like a secret, and this is one of them. Rajwadi jewellery carries within it the memory of Rajasthan's courtly excess: the layered grandeur of Jaipur's bazaars, the patient hands of karigars who have spent generations pressing uncut glass or semi-precious stones into beds of wax and gold foil. This pair follows that tradition faithfully. The openable construction allows the bangle to hinge apart at a concealed clasp, a practical gesture borrowed from the noblewomen who once wore such pieces daily rather than for ceremony alone. Set in brass with a warm, burnished undertone, the surface is worked in the Kundan manner, stones enclosed by fine metal borders pressed flush to the frame. The silhouette is wide and architectural, with a weight of fifty-five grams across the pair lending a satisfying, settled presence on the wrist. Offered in a single size of 2.2, which corresponds to a standard inner diameter measured in Indian bangle convention. Wear the pair over the full sleeve of a tissue-silk kurta at a Diwali evening gathering, letting the brass warmth echo any gold threadwork at the cuff. They sit equally well against the border of a Benarasi sari at a daytime mehendi, where their Rajwadi scale reads as deliberate rather than ornate. The hinged closure means no forcing over the knuckle, making these practical enough for regular wear. Brass holds its colour well with occasional gentle polishing, and the 2.2 sizing suits a standard to slightly slender wrist comfortably.
