Description

There are wrists that need only one bangle to say everything. This openable bangle is set in polki tradition, where uncut, foil-backed stones are pressed into their mounts without heat, preserving the raw luminosity that tumbled and faceted cuts tend to refine away. The brass base is finished in your choice of warm golden or a softer rose gold tone, and the polki clusters sit within a cuff silhouette that reads as both architectural and quietly antique. The hinged, openable closure, a practical inheritance from older Rajasthani kangan forms, allows the bangle to slip on without force and snap shut cleanly, holding its round without distortion. At seventy grams, the piece carries real presence on the wrist, the kind of weight that reminds you it is there. Wear it with a tissue silk kurta at a daytime mehendi, letting the uncut stones catch afternoon light without competing with embroidery. In the evening, it holds its own against a plain georgette sari, becoming the single considered ornament on an otherwise quiet wrist. The interior diameter is 2.05 inches (approximately 5.2 cm) and the bangle stands 1 inch (approximately 2.5 cm) in height, proportions that suit most adult wrists and read generously without overwhelming slender hands. The hinged mechanism means daily wear involves no wrenching or struggle, and the brass core ensures the form holds its shape across seasons.
