Description

Four bangles, and already a wrist that tells a story. Set in brass worked in the spirit of Jaipur's Meenakari ateliers, this quartet carries the glow of uncut Polki-style stones in a setting that speaks of older, unhurried hands. Each bangle is surfaced with enamel detailing in a choice of deep red or cool green, colours that Rajasthani craftspeople have ground and fired into metal for centuries. The stones sit in open collet-style mounts, catching available light rather than demanding it, their rough facets doing what only Polki can: suggesting the interior warmth of candlelit darbar rooms. Brass, the traditional substrate for festive jewellery before gold was within every reach, lends these bangles a weight that is present without being imposing, the full set resting at approximately seventy-three grams across four pieces. Worn together on one wrist over a chanderi kurta in ivory or rust, they read as quietly ceremonial. Paired with a deep-toned silk sari at a mehendi or a pre-wedding gathering, the enamel picks up the colour of the fabric and the two seem to have been chosen for each other. The set is available in sizes 2.2 through 2.8, accommodating a range of wrist measurements, with both red and green colourways offered across standard sizing. Brass construction makes these robust enough for repeated wear; the enamel surface rewards care and benefits from being kept away from prolonged moisture.
