Description
There is something unhurried about the way Kundan catches light, as though the stone itself is deciding when to shine. This set of bangles belongs to a craft lineage rooted in Rajasthan, where artisans press vibrantly coloured stones into a foiled brass bed using the Kundan technique of cold-setting, binding each piece without heat, relying entirely on the pressure of refined gold-hued foil against the gem's pavilion. Here, that tradition is expressed through a repeating teardrop motif, each drop outlined in bright Kundan stones spanning a spectrum of colours, from deep ruby red and sapphire blue to emerald green and warm amber. The brass base, worked and finished to carry the weight of the setting, sits broad and structured on the wrist, giving the set a presence that reads as festive without demanding formality. The full set weighs approximately 150 grams across four bangles, a satisfying substance on the arm. Wear this set with a silk chanderi kurta in ivory for a festive lunch, where the multicolour stones carry all the decoration the outfit needs. For a wedding evening, they layer easily over a single gold bangle, deepening the wrist's story without overcrowding it. The bangles are available in sizes 2.4, 2.6, 2.8 and 2.10, covering most adult wrist measurements. The brass construction ensures durability through a long celebration. As with all Kundan pieces, keep away from water and perfume to preserve the foil setting's integrity.
