Description

There is a particular weight to a bangle that feels as though it belongs to another century. These Rajwadi brass bangles arrive as a pair, each one a broad cuff standing one and a quarter inches tall (roughly 3.2 cm), with an inner diameter of two and a quarter inches (approximately 5.6 cm) and an outer diameter of just under three inches (around 7.2 cm). Together they weigh a generous 129 grams, a presence that settles on the wrist with quiet authority. The surface carries Kundan work in the Rajasthani tradition: flat-foiled stones set flush into the brass using the ancient technique of pressing refined wax beneath each gem, then securing it within a polished gold-toned cell. The Rajwadi aesthetic, long associated with the courts of Jaipur and Bikaner, favours bold geometry softened by floral repeat, and this pair follows that grammar faithfully. An openable clasp mechanism allows the cuff to close cleanly without disturbing the stone setting, a small but considered detail. Wear both bangles stacked on one wrist over a Banarasi silk blouse for a wedding reception, or pair them with a fine cotton kurta and a single gold chain for a festive lunch where understatement is the point. The brass base offers durability without the brittleness of thinner alloys. The openable hinge suits wrists that find rigid bangles impractical, and the standard sizing accommodates most adult wrists comfortably.
