Description

There is a kind of stillness that only Kundan can hold. Worked in brass and set with flat-foiled Kundan stones, this bangle follows the classical tradition of Rajasthani artisans who have spent centuries pressing uncut glass or paste into gold-leaf beds to achieve that characteristic, luminous glow. Here, the brass base is shaped into a firm, rounded silhouette and encrusted with Kundan work across the outer face, each stone bordered by thin ridges of metal that catch the light at every angle. The weight sits at a substantial 90 grams, which speaks to the density of the setting and the generosity of the metalwork rather than any lightness of intent. Brass, long favoured for costume and bridal jewellery in Jaipur's workshops, carries the Kundan beautifully, giving the piece warmth and structural confidence that lighter alloys cannot offer. Wear this bangle with an ivory silk kurta and chanderi dupatta for a formal occasion that calls for quiet confidence rather than spectacle. It is equally persuasive against the deep indigo of a cotton anarkali at a festive family gathering, where one statement piece is always more eloquent than several lesser ones. Available in sizes 2.2 and 2.4, both measured as the internal diameter, this bangle slides on without a hinge or clasp. The brass construction makes it resilient enough for regular wear; keep it away from prolonged moisture and store it in the cloth pouch to preserve the Kundan setting's integrity.
