Filigree is among the most patient of India's metalworking traditions, demanding that fine silver wire be drawn, coiled, and soldered into latticed forms that hold their breath between solid and air. This pair draws on that lineage, its surface composed of delicate openwork arranged in a heritage motif that recalls the scrolled botanical grammar common to the silver craft towns of Odisha, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh.
