Description

A garden caught mid-bloom, fixed forever in uncut stone and polished brass. The cuff traces its lineage to the Rajasthani tradition of Polki work, where flat, unfoiled slices of rough-cut stone are set directly into metal, prized precisely because they refuse to pretend at perfection. Here, that sensibility is interpreted in brass, a metal long favoured by craftsmen in Jaipur and Bikaner for its warm, honeyed body and its willingness to hold intricate surface work without overwhelming the stones. Floral motifs, full-faced and symmetrical, are studded across the band, each bloom anchored by Polki stones in green, light green, or a deep turmeric yellow, depending on the colourway chosen. The openable hinge closure is a quiet piece of engineering, allowing the cuff to sit flush against the wrist rather than gape. At fifty grams, the brass carries real presence without fatigue. Wear the green or light green version against a raw silk kurta in ivory or sage for a monsoon wedding lunch. The yellow colourway reads equally well at a festive evening gathering, paired with a Benarasi tissue saree and very little else by way of jewellery. The inner diameter measures 1.9 inches (approximately 4.8 cm) across both height and width, fitting a standard Indian wrist comfortably. The hinged opening makes it easy to secure and remove without bending the band. Brass maintains its finish with an occasional soft cloth wipe.
