Description

Flowers have always been the karigar's first language. These openable bangles are set in brass and encrusted with uncut Polki stones arranged in repeating floral clusters, each bloom rendered with the characteristic rough-faceted brilliance that Polki is known for across Rajasthani jewellery traditions. The openable hinge, a practical refinement seen in Jaipur workshop pieces intended for daily wear, allows the bangle to be slipped on without forcing the wrist. Brass gives the piece a warm, amber-toned ground that flatters the cool, milky lustre of the Polki, and the combined weight of 102 grams across both bangles speaks to the substantiality of the stone setting rather than mere bulk. The floral motif itself belongs to a long vocabulary of garden imagery that runs through Mughal-influenced jewellery into the bazaars and ateliers of Rajasthan. Wear this pair with a silk kurta and wide-leg trousers for a considered, unhurried dinner look. For a wedding or sangeet, stack them against plain gold-toned bangles on the same wrist to let the Polki clusters speak without competition. Available in sizes 2.2 and 2.4, the openable clasp makes sizing forgiving across both. The brass construction is lightweight enough for extended wear, and the hinge mechanism closes flush against the wrist, leaving no sharp edge. A cloth pouch and occasional dry polishing will keep the metal's warm tone intact over time.
