Description

There are bangles made to be worn, and there are bangles made to be remembered. This pair of openable bridal bangles is wrought in copper and finished with close-set stone studding across a broad, architectural band. The silhouette is generously proportioned, befitting bridal wear, with an articulated hinge-and-clasp closure that allows the bangle to open and settle around the wrist without the need for pulling or forcing. The stones are set in a manner that recalls the decorative density of Rajasthani work, where every surface is treated as an opportunity for embellishment, and the copper base lends the piece a warm, burnished undertone rather than the cooler register of silver. Together, the pair weighs 72 grams, a reassuring heft that speaks to the generosity of the craft. For a bridal mehendi ceremony, pair these with a heavily embroidered raw silk lehenga in ochre or terracotta, letting the copper tones echo the warmth of the fabric. They are equally at home stacked alongside glass or lac bangles at a sangeet, where the studded surface catches the light of diya-lit evenings. Sized at 2.4, the openable clasp removes any anxiety around fit, making it a practical choice for those who find fixed bangles difficult to wear. The copper construction keeps the weight distributed evenly, and the stone-studded surface is finished to resist everyday catches. Sold as a pair.
