Description

A belt that cinches the waist like a whispered secret, warm and unhurried. The Brown Bunch Belt with Donut draws from a tradition of adornment that has long travelled the length of the Indian torso, from temple dancers of Nagercoil to the street bazaars of Rajasthan where layered chain-work is worn close and proud. This belly-chain is built around a clustered bunch motif, its gathered links converging in a donut-shaped centrepiece that sits flat and deliberate at the navel. The warm brown finish speaks of oxidised metal, aged to a colour that flatters both wheatened and deeper skin tones without the severity of plain silver or the loudness of gilt. Each chain strand in the bunch has been worked to carry a gentle weight, the full piece coming in at 176 grams, substantial enough to feel luxurious without pulling. Worn over a plain ivory kurta with a low waistband, the donut medallion becomes the only ornament you need. For festive evenings, layer it over a sheer saree blouse, letting it rest against the midriff where lamp-light will catch its surface. The chain extends to 17.5 inches, roughly 44.5 centimetres, and is finished with an adjustable cord closure that allows a comfortable, precise fit across a range of waists.
