Description

There is a kind of abundance that belongs only to bridal adornment, and these bangles carry it in every pierced curve. Rooted in the Kundan tradition that has long flourished in the ateliers of Jaipur, this set of two openable bangles is worked in gold-plated brass and structured around two distinct registers of ornament. The outer border is set with foiled Kundan stones, their flat-polished faces held in place by the classic pressed-gold-foil technique that gives Kundan its signature luminosity. Between those borders, the body of each bangle opens into fine jali lattice work, the kind of pierced filigree that requires a steady hand and a sharp tool, the negative space as considered as the metal itself. The result is a bangle that reads as opulent from a distance and intricate up close, weighing a substantial 108 grams for the pair. For the mehendi or the wedding reception, wear both bangles stacked on one wrist against a heavy silk lehenga in deep red or ivory; the gold plating holds its warmth beautifully against festive weaves. For a smaller occasion such as an engagement lunch, a single bangle worn with a tissue-silk saree is quietly authoritative. Each bangle features an openable hinge closure, making it easy to wear and remove without force. Available in sizes 2.4 and 2.6, the fit accommodates most adult wrists comfortably. The brass base gives the pair its reassuring weight and structural solidity across long hours of wear.
