Description

There is a particular stillness to jewellery that carries the memory of old courts within its surface. This bangle draws from the long tradition of Kundan work, where flat-foiled stones are set within raised borders of polished metal, each placement deliberate and unhurried. The antique finish here is not a shortcut but a statement: the brass base is worked and treated until it holds the warmth of aged gold, muted and burnished at once. The textured body catches light unevenly, the way hand-worked metal should, and the Kundan stones sit flush against it in a repeat pattern that suggests the ornamental vocabulary of Rajasthani and Mughal decorative arts. The openable hinge makes the bangle a considered piece of engineering as much as adornment, the closure fitting cleanly without interrupting the continuous surface. At 45 grams, it carries genuine presence on the wrist. Wear it with a tissue silk sari in ivory or deep teal for a formal evening gathering, where its antique warmth will read against soft folds of fabric. Equally, it settles well over the cuff of a printed anarkali for a festive afternoon, neither overwhelming nor disappearing. Available in size 2/4, this bangle suits a standard wrist and the openable mechanism allows it to be slipped on without effort. Brass lends durability for repeated wear; store away from moisture and polish gently with a soft cloth to preserve the antique finish over time.
