Description

The peacock has always known how to carry itself. Worked entirely in sterling silver and finished in a deep antique patina, this pair of bangles belongs to a tradition of oxidised silverwork that finds its finest expression across Rajasthan and the silver artisan quarters of Jaipur. The peacock motif, rendered here in confident relief, fans across the surface of each bangle with the kind of unhurried precision that only hand-worked silver allows. The antique finish is not merely decorative; it is a deliberate darkening that settles into every engraved feather and curved contour, making the raised detail read with exceptional clarity. Each bangle sits as a solid, unbroken arc, weighty and grounded at a combined hundred grams for the pair, the kind of presence that announces itself through movement rather than shine. Wear them at a winter mehendi with a deep teal chanderi kurta, letting the oxidised silver hold its own against rich embroidery. Equally, they translate with ease onto a linen sari for a daytime arts event, where their restraint reads as considered rather than casual. This pair is sized at 2/4 and crafted in sterling silver throughout. The antique patina is durable enough for regular wear, though prolonged exposure to moisture is best avoided to preserve the depth of the finish. The solid construction and generous weight ensure these sit still on the wrist without adjustment.
