Description

There are evenings when a single set does the work of an entire jewellery box. This zircon-studded earring and maang tikka set is wrought in brass and finished in a warm copper tone, drawing on the language of Rajasthani bridal adornment without the weight of precious metals. The central medallion of the tikka sits heavy with close-set zircon stones, their cold brilliance playing against the heated copper ground in the manner that Jaipur's craftsmen have long understood: contrast, not competition. Stone drops hang from both the earrings and the tikka pendant, catching light with every movement. The earrings stand a generous 3.2 inches, approximately 8.1 centimetres, in height and 1.1 inches, approximately 2.8 centimetres, in width; the tikka extends to 5 inches, approximately 12.7 centimetres. The full set weighs 58 grams, substantial enough to feel intentional on the body. Pair it with a silk tissue lehenga in ivory or blush for a mehendi or sangeet, where the copper finish draws out warm embroidery tones.
