Description

There are earrings that announce themselves, and there are earrings that simply belong. This pair carries the quiet authority of brass worked with a craftsman's unhurried hand. At nine centimetres tall and roughly four and a half centimetres wide, these are statement pieces by proportion alone, yet they wear with a grounded ease that only well-composed metalwork achieves. The brass has been shaped into a tiered, chandelier-style silhouette, likely referencing the long-hanging jhumka-and-chain tradition beloved in the ateliers of Rajasthan and Bengal alike, where layered drops and framed motifs have long served as the grammar of festive adornment. At fifty-nine grams the weight is substantial and intentional, a reminder that good jewellery has presence you can feel as well as see. The surface finish reads as antique-toned brass, warm and slightly oxidised in the manner of heirloom pieces, drawing the eye without the sharp insistence of high-polish gold. Pair these with a hand-woven Banarasi silk sari in rust or deep teal, letting the brass tones anchor the colour. They work equally well with a simple cotton kurta in ivory or indigo, where the earrings carry the entire decorative weight of the look with effortless authority. Free-sized with a standard post or hook closure suited to most ears, these earrings require only basic care: keep them away from moisture, store them in soft cloth, and the antique brass finish will remain composed and graceful across many seasons of wear.
