Description

Devotion made visible, in brass and seed. The trishul and damru are not merely ornament here; they are language. Shiva's trident and his hand-drum, cast together in brass and suspended from a strand of genuine rudraksha beads, form a pendant that belongs to a living tradition of sacred adornment practised across temple towns from Varanasi to Rameswaram. Rudraksha, the teardrop seed associated with Shiva's tears and worn by ascetics and householders alike for centuries, lends the mala its theological weight. The brass is warm-toned, neither gilded nor lacquered into artifice, allowing the natural grain of each bead to assert itself. At roughly 43 grams, the mala sits with honest weight, the kind that reminds the wearer of its presence without becoming a burden. The strand measures 15.5 inches (approximately 39 cm), a length that rests comfortably at the collarbone. Wear it over a plain white kurta on a Monday fast, or layer it above a rust-silk dupatta for a festive puja gathering where understated spiritual intent is its own statement. It reads equally well against a simple cotton dhoti-kurta set, where the rudraksha and brass speak without competing with embroidery. Free size suits most adult necks at 15.5 inches (39 cm). The brass resists everyday handling reasonably well; wipe with a dry cloth to maintain its warm lustre. A thoughtful acquisition for those who wear their faith with quietude.
