Description

There are prayers that do not need silence to be heard. This mala is built around two of Shaivism's most potent symbols: the trishul, rising in its triple-pointed assertion of creation, preservation and dissolution, and the damru, the hourglass drum whose rhythm is said to have given language its first breath. Strung between them are genuine rudraksha beads, each seed carrying the sacred weight it has held for centuries in the hands of sadhus, scholars and devoted householders alike. The brass setting is warm and unhurried, its golden-brown oxidised finish tracing the contours of each motif with the quiet confidence of a craft rooted in temple-town traditions from Varanasi to Nagercoil. At 33.6 grams, the piece sits with presence without burdening the neck. The mala measures 14 inches (approximately 36 centimetres) and is offered in free size. Wear it over a handwoven cotton kurta for a morning puja or a heritage walk through an old bazaar, where it reads as both devotion and considered personal style. Paired with a cream silk blouse and a raw-silk sari, it anchors a festive look with spiritual intention rather than mere ornament. The brass holds its warmth without demanding elaborate care. A soft cloth buff restores the finish between wears, and the lightweight construction means it sits flat and uncomplicated throughout a full day. This is jewellery that belongs to a daily practice as much as a special occasion.
