Polki, the flat, uncut diamond-substitute stone beloved by Rajasthani jewellers for centuries, is here set into brass that has been worked and finished to evoke the warm luminosity of traditional Jadau-adjacent settings. The triangular cut is not a modern conceit; it echoes the angular vocabulary found in old Jaipur workshop pieces, where geometry served as both ornament and amulet. Brass, when handled by skilled hands, takes on a depth that flatters every skin tone, and here it cradles each polki stone in a close, foiled setting that catches light without competing for attention. The necklace closes with an adjustable dori, honest and practical, in keeping with the vernacular traditions these pieces draw from.
