Description

Devotion, rendered in brass, worn close to the heart. At the centre of this necklace sits Goddess Laxmi in high relief, cast in warm-toned brass and finished with the kind of considered oxidation that recalls temple jewellery traditions long practised across South India and the artisan quarters of Rajasthan. The front end drops a generous four inches (approximately 10.2 cm), framing the deity with florals and scroll-work that speak of the same visual grammar found in devotional pieces made for festive and ritual occasions. The matching drop earrings, measuring 1.2 inches (approximately 3 cm) in height and one inch (approximately 2.5 cm) in width, echo the central motif without overwhelming the face.
