Description
There are bridal sets that adorn, and then there are those that declare. This choker is built around a cascade of teardrop forms, each cell packed with flat-set green Kundan glass stones whose cool viridian depth is held in place by the traditional wax-and-foil technique that Jaipur's karigar families have refined over centuries. The brass base is worked into a dense, layered lattice, its surface gilded and burnished so that the gold tone reads warm against the green. Kundan setting demands absolute stillness of hand: the thin gold foils are pressed behind each stone to amplify its colour from within, and the result here is a choker that sits close and architectural, spanning approximately fourteen centimetres across and just over ten centimetres in height. The matching maang tikka, nearly eleven and a half centimetres in length, repeats the teardrop vocabulary along the hairline. The full set weighs three hundred and nine grams, substantial enough to feel ceremonial. Wear the set over a deep-red Banarasi silk lehenga for a wedding ceremony, where the green and gold will speak directly to the zari weave. For a sangeet, layer it over a moss-green tissue organza kurta and let the stones vanish into the fabric's shimmer. The choker fastens with an adjustable dori, accommodating different neck sizes without alteration. The earrings measure approximately seven and a half centimetres in height. Brass construction keeps the set resilient through long celebration days.
