Description

There is a particular shade of green that Rajasthani craftsmen have long trusted to anchor gold, and this set knows exactly what it is. The necklace, earrings and mangtika are worked in brass finished to a warm antique gold, each surface dense with stone studding arranged in the close-set, layered manner one associates with the Jaipur tradition of ornamental jewellery. The central necklace pendant sits at 2.2 inches in height (approximately 5.6 cm), commanding without overwhelming. Deep green beaded drops hang from the lower register, their colour saturated and deliberate, recalling the vitreous greens favoured in Meenakari-influenced palettes across Rajasthan. The earrings measure 2.4 inches by 1.5 inches (roughly 6.1 cm by 3.8 cm), broad enough to frame the face with authority.
