Description

Chandelier earrings that fall like a lit festival, measured and unhurried. Wrought in brass and finished to a warm, burnished tone, this layered set borrows its vocabulary from the grand parure tradition of Rajasthani bridal craft, where surface and shadow are equally considered. The chandelier earrings descend in tiered horizontal registers, each tier set with stone clusters arranged in a grid that echoes the density of Kundan-influenced flat-set work, though executed here in brass rather than gold foil. Freshwater pearl drops anchor the lowest tier, lending a cool, luminous contrast to the setting's warm ground. The matching maang tikka carries the same layered geometry, its pendant chain designed to sit flush along the central parting. Together the two pieces weigh seventy-eight grams, a substantive presence that reads as considered weight rather than excess. The earrings measure nearly ten centimetres in height (3.8 inches) and just over three centimetres across (1.2 inches), making them genuinely statement pieces. Wear them with a silk tissue lehenga in ivory or dusty rose at a sangeet, or with a hand-woven Benarasi sari at a formal reception, where the tiered drops will catch candlelight with every turn. The maang tikka extends to just over ten centimetres (4 inches) along its chain and one inch (approximately 2.5 centimetres) across its head piece, fitting most partings comfortably. The brass base resists bending under the set's own weight, and the hook and chain fastenings allow straightforward adjustment without specialist tools.
