Description
There are bridal pieces that announce themselves, and then there are those that simply arrive, as if they have always belonged. This Kundan necklace and earring set is worked in brass, its surface populated with flat-set stones arranged in the dense, interlocking manner that Jaipur's Kundan karigar tradition perfected over centuries. Each stone is pressed into a foil-backed gold-coloured setting, the surrounding metal refined to a warm, burnished finish that gives the illusion of depth beneath the glass-like faces of the gems. The necklace follows a broad, layered silhouette, the kind that sits close to the collarbone and fans outward in graduated panels. The earrings, at 2.7 inches (approximately 6.8 cm) in height and 1 inch (approximately 2.5 cm) in width, echo the necklace's geometry exactly. Available in Blue and Multi colourways, the set weighs 73 grams across both pieces, a considered weight for a full bridal ensemble. Wear the Blue colourway with a deep teal or cobalt silk lehenga at a wedding ceremony, or pair the Multi with an ivory and gold Banarasi tissue saree at a sangeet. Both colourways carry the density of colour that bridal candlelight demands. The necklace closes on an adjustable chain at 15 inches (approximately 38 cm), accommodating different necklines without alteration. The brass base keeps the set stable against skin through long ceremonial hours, and the Kundan settings require only soft-cloth care to preserve their lustre.
