Description

A feather caught mid-flight, rendered in brass and stone. The feather has long been a motif of quiet power in Indian decorative arts, appearing in temple friezes, Mughal margins, and the jewellery of Rajasthan's bazaars with equal ease. Here, the silhouette is drawn in warm brass, its vanes articulated with careful stone studding across the length of the pendant, which stands a generous 3.15 inches, or approximately 8 centimetres, from tip to bail. Each stone sits in a simple collet or channel setting, catching light without demanding it. The matched earrings, measuring 1.25 inches by 0.45 inches (roughly 3.2 cm by 1.1 cm), repeat the feather's tapered line in miniature.
