Description

There are earrings made to be worn, and then there are earrings made to be remembered. These brass-set stone-studded earrings draw on the long tradition of coloured-stone jewellery that has flourished in the ateliers of Jaipur and Bikaner, where karigar families have spent generations setting vivid stones into base metals with the same precision they bring to precious ones. The piece is offered in two distinct moods: a deep red, rich as lac and reminiscent of the pomegranate motifs beloved in Rajasthani craft, and a crisp white that echoes the cool restraint of rock crystal set against polished brass. The brass itself carries a warm, aged lustre, a finish that antique jewellery lovers will recognise as intentional rather than incidental. Each stone sits in a closed setting, the metal folded and pressed around it in the manner of everyday heirloom work. For festive dressing, wear the red colourway against a chanderi silk kurta in ivory or saffron, letting the stones catch the light at a Diwali gathering or a sangeet. The white pair moves effortlessly into daywear territory alongside a handloom cotton sari and kolhapuris. Available in a free size that suits most ears, these earrings are lightweight enough for extended wear through a long occasion. The brass construction is durable and resistant to daily handling. At Rs 8,858, they offer genuine craft at a considered price, fit for gifting as much as for keeping.
