Description

There is a particular quality of light that brass holds, neither cold like silver nor declarative like gold, but something warmer and older, like afternoon sun on a haveli wall. These stone-studded earrings are worked in brass, a metal long favoured by Rajasthani and Bengali craftspeople for its ability to hold both weight and warmth without apology. The setting brings clusters of stones into close formation across the drop, each one seated firmly in a prong or bezel arrangement that recalls the studied patience of bazaar ateliers in Jaipur, where such pieces are made in small workshops by hands that have learned this grammar over generations. The brass itself carries a finish that sits between burnished and raw, giving the surface a lived-in richness rather than a showroom gleam. The stones, set as pictured, introduce colour without competing, holding their place the way semi-precious inlay does in older temple pieces from the south. Wear these with a cotton silk kurta in ochre or rust for a festive afternoon, or pair them with a handloom saree and minimal gold to let the brass read as an intentional choice rather than an absence of something finer. These earrings are one size and suit most ear placements comfortably. The brass construction keeps the weight manageable for extended wear, and the closure, standard for drops of this style, sits securely without requiring adjustment through the day. Priced at Rs 4,495, they make craft accessible without compromise.
