Description

There are silhouettes that need no introduction, only a room to enter. This choker necklace set draws from the Rajasthani tradition of stone-studded brass jewellery, a craft kept alive in the workshops of Jaipur and Bikaner where kundan-inspired coloured stone settings are laid into base metal frames with the patience of an older age. The necklace, standing nearly 12 centimetres (4.7 inches) tall, is composed of a dense, architecturally layered collar worked in brass with a warm antique-toned finish and stones set in closed bezels across its face. The matching earrings, measuring approximately 9.4 centimetres by 2.9 centimetres (3.7 by 1.15 inches), mirror the necklace's vocabulary of colour and form. The mangtika, at a generous 15.9 centimetres (6.25 inches), completes the parure with a central drop that grazes the hairline precisely. At 166 grams, the set has substantive presence without becoming burdensome across a full evening's wear. Pair it with a deep silk anarkali for a Diwali celebration, letting the collar rest against a bare neckline. For a destination wedding, it reads beautifully above a heavily embroidered lehenga blouse, where the brass tone echoes zari without competing. The set is free size, the mangtika adjusting to the wearer's parting. The brass construction keeps the piece accessible in price whilst allowing the weight and scale of traditional bridal adornment. Fastenings are designed for self-dressing, a quiet courtesy from the craftsman to the wearer.
