Description

There are devotions that ask to be worn close to the heart. This set centres on Bal Krishna, the divine child, depicted alongside the sacred cow in a tableau that belongs to the oldest vein of temple jewellery making in India. Cast in brass and finished to a warm golden tone, each piece is set with coloured stones that catch light in the manner of traditional Kundan-influenced work, where the stone is held in a plain bezel rather than prong-set, keeping the focus on the motif itself. The necklace runs to approximately 28 centimetres (11 inches) and sits at the collarbone with quiet authority; the earrings, at roughly 6.5 centimetres (2.5 inches) in height and 1.8 centimetres (0.7 inches) in width, are long enough to frame the jaw without overwhelming. The ensemble weighs 60 grams across all pieces, a presence that is felt without being burdensome. Pair this set with a deep red or ivory silk saree for a puja, festival, or naming ceremony, where the devotional motif reads as both adornment and offering. It is equally well suited to a simple cotton kurta during Janmashtami celebrations, where its narrative quality speaks without competing. One size accommodates all wearers comfortably. The brass construction resists bending during regular wear, and the stone settings are firmly closed. Store away from moisture to preserve the warm finish over time.
