Description

There are prayers that do not need words. This bracelet strings together certified natural Rudraksha beads and hand-finished sterling silver spacers in a design that sits squarely within the devotional jewellery tradition of India, where sacred botanical forms have long been worked alongside precious metal. The Rudraksha, each bead a dried seed of Elaeocarpus ganitrus, carries centuries of ritual significance across both temple and daily wear. The sterling silver beads are textured rather than polished smooth, their matte-and-hammered surface a quiet nod to the handwork traditions found in craft centres across Rajasthan and Bengal, where silversmiths have long valued the dignity of an unhurried finish over high shine. Together, the natural brown-grey of the Rudraksha and the cool grey of the silver create a palette that is austere and grounded, entirely without ornament for ornament's sake. The piece weighs a considered 9 grams and measures 8.5 inches (21.6 cm) in length. Wear it alone on a bare wrist with a raw cotton kurta in ivory or indigo for morning meditation. It sits equally well layered with a fine thread bracelet against the sleeve of a tailored linen shirt on a quiet formal occasion. Free-sized and crafted to sit comfortably on most adult wrists, the bracelet is finished in sterling silver throughout, resisting tarnish well with minimal care. Its understated weight means it can be worn continuously, passing from morning practice to evening without demanding attention.
