Description

There are stones that carry cosmology inside them, and the Shiva Eye is one. Found in the tidal shallows of the Indo-Pacific, the Shiva Eye is the operculum of the turban snail, a natural spiral that has been revered for centuries as a protective talisman across coastal India and Southeast Asia. Each piece is singular: its ivory-and-grey swirl, ringed by a smooth, rounded edge, mirrors an eye in repose, serene and watchful at once. Here, the stone is set into a simple bezel of sterling silver, the metal burnished to a soft, clean finish that lets the organic patterning speak without interruption. At just 0.45 inches in height and 0.4 inches in width (roughly 1.14 cm by 1 cm), the studs are deliberately compact. The total weight of 3.8 grams rests almost imperceptibly at the earlobe, a quiet gravity rather than an imposition.
