Description

There are things that do not merely adorn; they declare. The trishul, Shiva's trident, is among the oldest symbols in the subcontinent's devotional vocabulary, and here it is rendered in cast brass with a quiet, assured hand. A single rudraksha bead is set at the base of the trident's shaft, grounding the celestial weapon in the earthly, the sacred in the tactile. Brass, warm and slightly oxidised in character, lends this piece an antique temperament without straining for effect. Standing at 3.25 inches (approximately 8.25 cm) in height and 1 inch (approximately 2.5 cm) across, the pin carries genuine presence without bulk. At 10 grams, it sits lightly on the lapel, yet reads clearly from a distance. The sensibility belongs to the long tradition of devotional metalwork found across Rajasthan and the temple towns of South India, where the divine and the decorative are never treated as separate concerns. Wear it pinned to the left lapel of a raw-silk bandhgala at a festive gathering, where it will hold its own beside Kundan cufflinks. It works equally well on a structured linen blazer at an art opening or cultural evening, offering a point of calm conviction amid contemporary dress. The pin closure is standard and fits any lapel or pocket square fold without adjustment. Brass requires only occasional wiping with a soft cloth. Offered in one free size, this piece suits a man or woman who carries their faith with unhurried confidence.
