Description

There are evenings when the simplest thing catches the light and holds it. Each stud is worked in sterling silver, its round silhouette kept deliberately modest at approximately 0.18 inches, or just under half a centimetre, across. The centrepiece is a single faceted gemstone, its cuts angled to draw light inward and return it as a quiet brilliance. Sterling silver, at its standard 92.5 alloy, has long been the honest metal of the Indian craftsman, cool to the touch, receptive to fine setting work, and capable of carrying coloured stone with an understated authority that gold occasionally overpowers. The stone sits in a secure collet that frames without smothering, letting the gem speak. Six colour choices, amethyst, blue topaz, citrine, garnet, mystic topaz and smoky quartz, span the full seasonal palette from the violet cool of winter to the amber warmth of harvest months. For daily office wear, the citrine reads as a point of burnished light against a cream linen kurta. For festive occasions, amethyst or mystic topaz pairs beautifully with a deep silk dupatta, offering just enough colour to feel considered without competing. At two grams total weight, these studs rest without pulling on the lobe. The push-back closure is secure enough for full days and comfortable enough to forget you are wearing them. Free-sized in the sense that all studs are, they require no adjustment and suit pierced ears universally.
