Description

There are flowers that bloom not in gardens, but in silver. This pair draws from a tradition of Himalayan-inflected silversmithing, where bold natural stones are honoured rather than subdued. Each earring is worked in sterling silver, its surface shaped into a round floral form: petals radiating outward in a composition that feels at once tribal and refined. At the centre, a warm disc of Mediterranean coral sits cradled in a bezel, its terracotta depth offset by inlays of Tibetan turquoise, a stone prized across the high-altitude trade routes for its distinctively veined, sky-and-earth palette. The silver itself carries a burnished, oxidised quality that suits both stones, giving the metalwork the gravity of something unearthed rather than manufactured. Measuring four and a half centimetres in height by just over three centimetres in width (1.75 inch x 1.2 inch), and weighing a substantial twenty grams the pair, these are earrings that announce themselves with quiet confidence. Wear them against a cotton kurta in ivory or indigo for a daytime gathering where understated heritage dressing is the language. In the evening, they translate equally well alongside a silk blouse in rust or teal, anchoring an otherwise spare look with organic colour and heft. Sterling silver sits comfortably against the skin through long hours. The round silhouette distributes the weight evenly, and the standard hook or post closure, suited to most piercings, makes these entirely practical for everyday wear as much as for occasion dressing.
