Description

There is a quiet authority in stone left almost as the earth gave it. This necklace is wrought in brass, its pendant carrying a cluster of raw, uncut stones set without apology into their mounts, each one irregular in the way that only nature produces. The decision to leave the stones in their rough state is a considered one, a philosophy that prizes the geological over the ornamental. Brass, long favoured in folk and artisanal traditions from Rajasthan to Bengal, lends the piece a warm, burnished ground against which the raw stones sit with textural tension.
