Description

Royalty, it turns out, can be worn at the throat. This necklace and earring set draws from the Polki tradition of Rajasthan, where uncut diamonds were once set in gold for Mughal courts. Here, the spirit of that craft translates into brass, worked and finished to receive flat-cut Polki stones in a close, glittering foil-backed setting that amplifies every fragment of light. The silhouette is classic: a graduated frontal necklace with layered floral and geometric units, each element precise and considered, and earrings that mirror the pendant forms. Pearl drops hang from the lower edge of both necklace and earrings, their cool lustre a deliberate counterpoint to the warmth of the brass base. The overall finish reads as antique gold, a tone Jaipur's karigars have long understood to be more forgiving, and more beautiful, than high polish. Pair this set with a deep-toned silk saree at a winter wedding reception, or let it anchor a ivory kurta at a festive lunch, where its weight and presence do the speaking for you. At 70 grams, the set is substantial without being punishing to wear across a long occasion. The brass construction keeps it accessible in price at Rs 17,819, while the free-size earring backs accommodate most fittings. The Polki settings are protected by their collet frames, and the pearl drops are secured at their findings, making this a reliable choice for repeated, careful wearing.
