Description

There is a quiet grandeur in jewellery that does not ask for permission to be noticed. This long necklace and earrings set is fashioned in brass and set throughout with uncut Polki stones, their raw, foil-backed facets catching light in the diffuse, almost moonlit way that only uncut diamond-substitute work can achieve. The silhouette follows a heritage sensibility rooted in the Rajasthani tradition of heavy bridal adornment, where layered pendants and geometric drops have long been the vocabulary of occasion dressing. The central pendant, measuring approximately 7.9 cm high and 5.1 cm wide, carries the visual weight of a ceremonial piece, while the earrings at roughly 6.4 cm by 2.8 cm mirror its proportions with restraint. The full set weighs 113 grams and hangs on an adjustable dori, a cord closure that places the neckline at roughly 16 inches and can be shortened to suit. Worn over a deep-toned Banarasi silk or a chanderi kurta in ivory, this set becomes the architecture of an ensemble rather than its ornament.
