Description

There are flowers that bloom once in a season, and there are flowers set in uncut stone that bloom for a lifetime. These earrings are shaped as layered floral clusters, each petal edged and centred with Polki, the flat-cut uncut diamond substitute beloved in the Rajasthani jewellery tradition of Jaipur. Here the Polki is set into brass, worked with the patience of a craftsman who understands that even a non-precious base metal can carry a regal silhouette when the setting is true. The stones sit in fine-rimmed collets, catching light with that characteristic soft, milky luminescence that distinguishes Polki from any faceted modern cut. Below the floral body, a single pearl drop completes the composition, its cool, spherical weight pulling the eye downward and lending the piece the unhurried elegance of a bygone durbar aesthetic. At three and a half inches tall and one and three quarter inches wide (approximately 8.9 cm by 4.4 cm), with a total weight of fifty-two grams, these are earrings that announce themselves with quiet authority. Wear them with a tissue silk saree for a festive evening, where the pearl's ivory tone will echo the weave's sheen, or pair them with a raw-silk anarkali for a mehendi or sangeet, letting the floral motif converse with embroidered blooms. The free-size hook closure suits most ear piercings comfortably. At this scale and weight, it is advisable to wear them for curated occasions rather than extended daily wear, preserving both comfort and finish.
