Description

There are necklaces that arrive already belonging to someone's memory of a wedding. This semi-bridal set draws from the Rajasthani Polki tradition, where uncut stones are set directly into metal without foil backing, so each facet catches light as it falls rather than as it is forced. Here, the setting is brass, worked in the manner of Jaipur's bazaar ateliers where volume and layering matter as much as precision. Polki stones cluster across the necklace's broad central pendant, measuring roughly 3.5 cm in height and 2.8 cm in width, while the neckpiece itself spans approximately 25.4 cm in length and 11.2 cm across its widest point. The defining notes are the green teardrop danglers, graduated and pendant-set, that hang from both the necklace and the earrings, each pair measuring approximately 8.4 cm in height and 3.3 cm in width. The maang tikka, 8.4 cm tall and 2.5 cm wide, mirrors the same green and polki rhythm. The full set weighs 155 grams, substantial enough to feel ceremonial. Pair this with a dusty-rose tissue silk lehenga for a sangeet where you want presence without heaviness, or layer it over a deep bottle-green chanderi anarkali for a mehendi afternoon where the stone colour becomes an echo of the fabric. The necklace fastens on an adjustable dori, accommodating different necklines with ease. The brass base keeps the set wearable across long celebrations without discomfort.
