Description

There is a quiet festivity to pink, when it is held inside Kundan. This necklace and earring set belongs to the classic Kundan tradition of Rajasthan, where artisans in Jaipur have for centuries pressed polished stones into a bed of lac, framing each with fine gold-toned foil to create that luminous, glowing setting so particular to the craft. Here, rose-pink stones are set in this manner across a broad, structured necklace that measures approximately sixteen centimetres in length and nine and a half centimetres in width, giving it the commanding presence of a full bridal or festive choker. The brass base, finished in warm gold, carries the weight of the tradition without the weight of solid metal: the full set sits at fifty-nine grams, generous but wearable. The paired earrings, at roughly three centimetres in height and under two centimetres in width, mirror the necklace's pink-and-gold palette in a compact drop form. The adjustable dori closure means the necklace can be worn against the collarbone or slightly lower. Pair this set with a blush or ivory Benarasi silk for a wedding mehendi or sangeet. It reads equally well over a deep bottle-green anarkali, where the pink stones create a deliberate, joyful contrast.
