Description

There are celebrations that call for jewellery which speaks before you do. This multi-strand bridal necklace draws from the grammar of Rajasthani bazaar craft, where brass is worked into layered, statement silhouettes laden with stone-set florals and geometric motifs. Pink and white stones are set across the necklace in close, repeating clusters, their colours evoking the palette of Jaipur's rose-walled havelis. The layered strands fall in graduated tiers, the whole piece unified by a unified base of warm, gold-toned brass finished to a lustrous sheen. The matching maang tikka, measuring 5.3 inches (13.5 cm) in length and just 0.6 inches (1.5 cm) across its delicate pendant drop, echoes the necklace's stone arrangement exactly, anchoring the bridal composition at the centre parting. Together, necklace, earrings and tikka form a cohesive set weighing a substantial 250 grams, an indication of the density and generosity of the setting. Wear the full set with a deep magenta or ivory silk lehenga for a wedding or sangeet, where the pink stones will catch the light of diyas and chandeliers alike.
