Description

A single bead that carries the quiet authority of a column. Drawn from the visual language of classical architecture, this pillar-shaped sterling silver bead stands one and a half inches tall (approximately 3.8 cm) and just under a third of an inch wide (approximately 0.8 cm), its vertical form tapering with a precision that speaks of careful die work rather than mass casting. A blue crystal stone is set at its centre, lending the piece a controlled flash of colour against the cool, burnished silver. Sterling silver, with its reliable purity and weight, has long been the preferred metal of bead-makers across Rajasthan and Bengal, where geometric forms and stone inlay travel comfortably between devotional and decorative contexts. At 6.2 grams, the bead sits with genuine presence on the hand or at the throat. The finish is smooth and refined, the proportions architectural without being severe. Thread this bead as a centrepiece on a silk cord for a kurta-and-palazzo set at a festive lunch, or layer it between smaller silver beads on a long chain worn with a crisp cotton sari at an afternoon gathering. Sold individually, this piece offers the freedom to compose your own sequence or to wear it alone as a considered accent. The free-size format suits most cord and chain gauges. Sterling silver requires only occasional gentle polishing to hold its lustre through regular wear.
