Description

There is a particular green that exists only at the edge of twilight, where the sky has not yet decided between gold and shadow. Peridot carries that colour with an almost mineral honesty. These square-cut stones, each measuring precisely 3 x 3 mm, are sold in sets of twenty and are intended for the jeweller, the designer, or the discerning collector who sources their own components with care. The cut is clean and geometrical, the facets arranged to draw the maximum play of light from the stone's natural olivine warmth. Peridot has long been beloved by Jaipur's stone-cutting karigars, who have worked with its particular transparency for generations, understanding how its yellow-green body colour shifts under daylight and artificial light in subtly different ways. At this size, each piece is precise enough for close-set Polki-style pavé work, for Kundan borders, or for meticulous inlay alongside white topaz or yellow sapphire. Set into a necklace, these stones read as a continuous shimmer of warm green. They pair beautifully with ivory tissue silk at a daytime wedding, or with a deep bottle-green Kanjeevaram at an evening reception where you wish colour to speak quietly but with conviction. Each stone is free-size in the sense that no mounting is included; the 3 x 3 mm dimension is consistent across all twenty pieces, making them reliable for symmetrical settings. The natural olivine tone requires no enhancement to hold its presence.
