Description

There is a particular quietude to pearls suspended in silver, as though the ornament itself is holding its breath. These chandelier hoops are worked in sterling silver, the frame shaped into an open hoop from which a tiered cascade of freshwater pearls descends in the manner of a small chandelier. The construction honours a sensibility found across Rajasthani and Bengali silver-work traditions, where the silversmith's discipline lies not in ornamentation for its own sake but in giving movement its proper architecture. Each pearl catches light differently as the earring sways, the cool lustre of the stone reading beautifully against the burnished silver mount.
