Description

There is a quietness to latticework that speaks louder than ornament alone. Woven from sterling silver, this bracelet draws on a tradition of pierced and interlaced metalwork that silversmiths across Rajasthan and Bengal have practised for generations. The lattice motif, a geometry of interlocking negative space, is set against a foundation of seed pearls whose cool, unpolished lustre softens the silver's bright sheen. Each pearl is nestled rather than merely threaded, held in place by the kind of patient hand-finishing that refuses speed. The result is a surface that catches light in fragments, the way a carved jali screen does at noon. At thirty grams, the bracelet carries genuine presence without ever feeling heavy on the wrist, and the sterling silver has been polished to a finish that reads as quietly luxurious rather than flashy.
