Description

The peacock has always known how to wear itself. Rendered in warm-toned brass and finished to catch the light like polished bronze, these jhumkas carry the peacock motif at the face of the earring in a style that recalls the stone-studded work of Rajasthan's costume jewellery tradition, where colour and movement have always mattered more than restraint. Coloured stones are set into the brass body in a close, clustered arrangement that fans across the dome, echoing the spread of a tail in full display. Below, a row of freshwater pearl drops hangs from the bell of the jhumka, lending the piece its quieter, more feminine cadence. At two and a half inches in height (approximately 6.4 cm) and one point two inches in width (approximately 3 cm), and weighing forty grams, these earrings have a presence that announces itself without effort. Wear them with a printed cotton kurta for a festive afternoon puja, where the pearl drops will catch the lamp's glow. They are equally persuasive paired with a chanderi silk saree for a mehendi or a sangeet, adding celebration where the textile already does most of the storytelling. The jhumka fits all ear sizes and requires no adjustment. The brass base gives the earring its satisfying weight and structural integrity, while the stone-and-pearl combination means the piece remains dressed without tipping into ornate excess, making it a dependable choice for repeated festive wear.
