Description

There are fires inside the earth that no lapidary fully tames, and Ethiopian opal carries every one of them. Each oval cabochon in this tennis bracelet is faceted rather than smoothed, a deliberate choice that multiplies the play-of-colour across every angle of movement. Ethiopian opal, sourced from the volcanic sediment beds of the Welo region, shifts between amber, coral, and spectral blue-green depending on how light falls, and the faceting here coaxes that phenomenon to its fullest. The stones are set in sterling silver in a continuous line, the metal worked to a clean, polished finish that frames each gem without competing with it. A magnetic lock closes the bracelet with quiet precision, making it as practical as it is considered. The piece weighs eleven grams and sits comfortably at the standard bracelet length of seven and a half inches (approximately nineteen centimetres). Worn against an ivory chanderi kurta at a daytime gathering, the shifting opal reads as quietly extraordinary. Paired with a deep burgundy silk blouse and tailored trousers for an evening dinner, it becomes the single ornament a well-chosen outfit requires. It moves with the wrist, never fights for attention, and earns it entirely. The free-size design and the magnetic clasp make this bracelet genuinely easy to put on and remove without assistance. Sterling silver at this weight holds its form through daily wear, and the polished finish responds well to a soft cloth when you wish to restore its original brightness.
