Description

There are pieces that carry a season's worth of memory in a single pendant. This brass necklace set draws from the vocabulary of Indian folk jewellery, where confident geometry and layered surface work take precedence over precious stone and precious metal alike. The pendant, measuring approximately 1.1 inches (2.8 cm) in height and 0.75 inches (1.9 cm) in width, sits at the sternum with quiet authority, its brass body finished to a warm, burnished tone that recalls the antique heirloom jewellery of Rajasthan's artisan quarters. The matching earrings, at 1.8 inches (4.6 cm) in height and 0.7 inches (1.8 cm) in width, echo the pendant's proportions without overpowering the face. The necklace itself suspends from an adjustable dori, a traditional cotton or silk cord closure spanning up to 7.6 inches (19.3 cm), faithful to the regional craft practice of avoiding metal clasps altogether.
